Mission & Goals
EURid vzw is the not-for-profit organisation appointed by the European Commission to operate the “.eu” top-level domain and its variants in Cyrillic and Greek scripts. EURid manages the technical, operational and commercial aspects of the .eu registry, accredits registrars, and ensures that the domain is secure, reliable, and aligned with EU values. It supports the Digital Single Market by providing a trusted online identity for citizens, businesses, and institutions within the European Union and EEA. EURid promotes internet best practices, cybersecurity (including DNSSEC), multilingualism, and abuse prevention within the domain name system. Its activities are governed by Regulation and a service contract with the European Commission.
