Mission & Goals

EUPAVE MISSION Advocate and enable wider use of cement and concrete applications in European transport infrastructure by engaging with EU, national and local decision makers, by disseminating technical know-how and communicating benefits and by promoting innovation and best practices in the sector.

EU Legislative Interests

EUPAVE's mission is to advocate and enable wider use of cement and concrete applications in European transport infrastructure by engaging with EU, national and local decision makers, by disseminating technical know-how and communicating benefits and by promoting innovation and best practices in the sector. EUPAVE is active in circular economy and life cycle assessment questions. In 2024, EUPAVE published a manifesto urging policymakers to consider fives key concerns and priorities when building the next generation of durable and sustainable roads in Europe. The Manifesto emphasizes the need for transparent procurement processes and life cycle assessments to ensure long-lasting infrastructure. With a focus on innovation and upholding quality standards, the Manifesto underscores the industry’s commitment to building roads that serve the needs of both current and future generations.

Communication Activities

EUPAVE actively communicates with decision-makers and the public through its newsletter, website, workshops, seminars, and dedicated events. Each year, EUPAVE organises an EU Debate. When hosted by an MEP, it takes place at the European Parliament; otherwise, it is held at our offices. EUPAVE also publishes position papers, which are distributed and sent to the European Parliament (see the list here: https://www.eupave.eu/resource-section/position-papers/). In 2024, we also published a Manifesto. EUPAVE is strongly engaged in topics related to the circular economy, sustainability, and concrete road infrastructure.
