Mission & Goals

EUnited – European Engineering Industries Association is a Brussels-based organisation representing the interests of European manufacturers of cleaning machines, municipal equipment and vehicle wash systems. It represent the interests of these sectors in technical standards development, policy formulation, trade issues and European legislation. The main sectors covered by the association are: - Cleaning- manufactures of floor cleaning machines and high pressure cleaners for professional and industrial use. - Municipal Equipment -manufacturers of mobile machines that are used in municipalities and other public areas. These include companies manufacturing road sweepers, winter maintenance equipment and refuse collection vehicles for household and industrial waste. - Vehicle wash systems- manufacturers of vehicle cleaning systems

EU Legislative Interests

Main activities: European policy affecting the competitiveness of manufacturing in the sectors covered by the association. Technical and regulatory affairs, standards, certification and harmonisation related to the following areas: - Machinery Directive and Regulation - Ecodesign Directive/Regulation and implementing acts - Labelling (water and energy using products) - REACH/RoHS (Chemicals legislation) - European machinery certification systems e.g. PM10 - Artificial Intelligence, Data and Cyber-Security - Non-road Mobile Machinery Regulation - Outdoor Noise - Public procurement - Standardisation related policies - Trade, tariffs and trade agreements

Communication Activities

Raising awareness among European policy makers about manufacturing and its contribution to the European economy including employment and essential products and services. Contributing expertise on industrial policy, by participation in consultations and Commission Expert Groups.
