Mission & Goals

The EU STEM Coalition is an EU-wide network that works to build better STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) education in Europe. Our main objectives are (1) to facilitate best practice sharing between national and regional STEM platforms (organisations responsible for the implementation of national/regional STEM education and labour market strategies) and (2) support the development of new strategies, platforms and approaches based on existing best practices.

EU Legislative Interests

Proposals related to STE(A)M education and labour market. In the past we have been in contact about / in follow-up of the Communication on a Renewed EU Agenda for Higher Education in which the EU STEM Coalition was mentioned. The EU STEM Coalition was included in the Commission's Digital Education Action Plan and Communication on Achieving the European Education Area by 2025.

Organisation Members

Additional Information

The EU STEM Coalition is not a legal entity, but an informal network of organisations currently managed by the Dutch national STEM platform (PTvT), which receives the majority of its funding from public sources.
