Mission & Goals
The ESFC is a pre-competitive collaboration dedicated to uniting the entire food and beverage value chain under a standardized methodological framework for impact assessment. This framework aims to enable retailers and food service providers, producers and brands to work with their existing data, enhancing both the comparability and accuracy of impact results. Our goal is to support businesses in meeting regulatory requirements, making optimization measures quantifiable, and ultimately minimizing environmental and social impacts.

At the level of ESFC AISBL as a legal entity, we confirm that we have not yet directly received any grants from EU institutions, bodies, offices or agencies in the most recently closed financial period. The statement on our website that we are “funded by the European Union” refers to EU-funded projects in which some of our member organisations participate and which support coalition activities in a broader sense. These EU funds are paid to the participating organisations, not directly to ESFC AISBL as a legal entity.
