Mission & Goals
To monitor developments and best practice activities in the field of collection, pre-treatment, and recycling of waste plastic, and also the use of recycled polymer. This includes monitoring developments in related policy, legislation, and technologies. Supporting the development of a circular economy for plastics. EPRO has members in the EU and internationally.
EU Legislative Interests
All policy and legislation that impacts on the collection, sorting and recycling of waste plastics and the circular economy. For example, policy such as the European Strategy for Plastics in a Circular Economy and Circular Economy Action Plan. Also legislation including the Waste Framework Directive (2008/98), Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (2025/40), Single Use Plastics Directive (2019/904) and Waste Shipment Regulations (2024/1157).
