Mission & Goals

ENGAS s.r.o. is a Slovak energy company owned by an Austrian family group that has been active in Slovakia for almost 30 years. ENGAS develops Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) and CO2 transport/storage infrastructure in Slovakia, including the conversion of the Golianovo gas field into a permanent CO2 storage site and the development of CarbonNet Slovakia as an open-access CO2 transport and storage platform for Western Slovakia. ENGAS aims to support hard-to-abate industrial emitters, including chemical, fertiliser and other process industries, in reducing CO2 emissions in line with EU and Slovak climate objectives, while ensuring safe, regulated and transparent permitting, monitoring and long-term storage operations. Its activities are primarily national and regional in Slovakia, with EU relevance due to CCS regulation, industrial decarbonisation, climate policy and cross-border energy-transition objectives.
