Enel is a multinational power company and a leading integrated player in the global power and renewables markets. At global level, it is the largest renewable private player, the foremost electricity distribution network player by number of grid customers served and the biggest retail operator by customer base. Enel is present in 28 countries worldwide, producing energy with ~93 GW of total capacity. Note: Enel’s leadership in the different categories is defined by comparison with competitors’ FY2025 data. Fully state-owned operators are not included.

Communication Activities

Enel sponsored a number of events organized by key associations and think-tanks in Brussels advocating for sustainable energy and decarbonization policies, including: SolarPower Summit 2025, EBS EU Energy Summit 2025 and 2026, SmartEn Summit 2025, Friends of Europe Climate & Energy Summit 2025, dinner debate with European Energy Forum and the European Energy and Industry Conference 2025. In February 2025 the MEP Budka hosted a lunch event at the European Parliament to present and discuss the main results of Enel Foundation study titled “Reforming EU Electricity Market Design: why long-term contracts matter in a renewable-dominated system”.
