Mission & Goals

With 50 years of experience, Enagás is an international leader in the development, operation and maintenance of energy infrastructures. It carries out its activities in seven countries. Enagás is certified as an independent TSO, and it is the technical manager of the system in Spain. Enagás has around +12,000 Km of high-pressure gas pipelines, three underground storage facilities and majority stakes in six LNG regasification plants in Spain. Enagás is deeply committed to the energy transition. It boosts and develops national and international projects to contribute to the decarbonisation process, such as renewable gases (hydrogen and biomethane), energy efficiency and gas in maritime transport. In December 2023 the Spanish Government appointed Enagás as provisional Hydrogen Transmission Network Operator in Spain, allowing it to develop the five hydrogen Projects of Common Interest selected in the 2024 list.
