Mission & Goals
ELTA is the umbrella organization of LGBTQ+ tourism industry across Europe. ELTA – European LGBTQ+ Travel Alliance AISBL is an association based in Brussels which aims to attract LGBTQ+ Tourism to Europe & promoting Diversity, Equity and Inclusion across the travel industry. Our Mission ELTA’s mission is to drive the growth and the competitiveness of LGBTQ+ tourism in the European travel industry, by working with its members, to inform and shape the debate in the European institutions and industry bodies. It addresses the main players in the sector, whose goal is demonstrating the social and economic impact that this tourism can generate, in order to attract flows of travelers to EU member countries. Our Vision ELTA promotes LGBTQ+ tourism and inclusive hospitality in Europe, providing information to LGBTQ+ travelers and activating networking, information, training and awareness actions.
EU Legislative Interests
Our goal is to put tourism at the center of the European Union's activities, not only because of its economic importance, but also because we believe it can be an important channel for promoting inclusiveness through the enhancement of sustainable tourism from the social point of view. We are interested in the policies for the promotion of LGBTQ+ issues and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion that Europe has implemented and will implement in the future.
Communication Activities
ELTA was founded during the Estates General of European LGBTQ Tourism that took place in Milan last April 2022 under the high Patronage of European Parliament and the Municipality of Milan. The works have been opened by the Mayor of Milan Mr Sala and over 15 tourist representatives from as many destinations took part with the main european tourism associations. We met one time the Executive Director of LGBTI Intergroup and we aim to can support their activities in the future.

Additional Information
ELTA financing model is based on sponsorships of the annual event (Estates General of the European LGBTQ Tourism) and on membership fee only for non-european members that has the supporter member status.
