EU Legislative Interests

Green deal, innovation focus related to Agtech --- the key influencing activity is targeted at startup, innovation and research commissioner of EU commission. We would like to present how important it is to have such actions and VC environment supported by EU commission, especially for companies coming from smaller countries like Slovenia, where there is a lack of domestic market and domestic funding opportunities. Another topic we plan to emphasize is the importance of connecting different technologies, where EU already has very significant role/leading global position like connecting automated digital insect monitoring and biological crop protection. Such connection should be done through infrastructural projects (similar to what was done with weather station and we now all benefit from much better weather data and forecast). The need for such top-down approach is mainly die to fragmentation of EU farms that can not afford to build digital insect monitoring infrastructure that would benefit all stakeholders.
