Mission & Goals

Efficient Buildings Europe is the leading European industry association, dedicated to advancing energy efficiency in European buildings. We collaborate closely with stakeholders to shape the future of energy efficiency and drive the transition towards zero emission buildings. Our members are industry leaders specialising in a diverse array of energy efficient solutions that enhance the performance of buildings throughout the entire value chain. Highly performant and decarbonised buildings contribute to the EU’s economic growth, competitiveness and energy security and create healthy and comfortable living and working conditions.

EU Legislative Interests

Efficient Buildings Europe represents the interests of its members vis-à-vis EU energy efficiency policy. The main priority of Efficient Buildings Europe is currently the EU Green Deal, the Fit-for-55 Package, the EU Climate and Energy Framework for 2030, the Energy Efficiency Directive, the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive, the 2050 EU Climate Law, the MFF post 2020, together with the Recovery and Resilience Plan, as well as financing schemes relevant for energy renovation of buildings.

Communication Activities

Efficient Buildings Europe runs a political communications campaign - the Renovate Europe Campaign (www.renovate-europe.eu) - that has a clear call: to accelerate the deep energy renovation of buildings in the EU to 3% per year. Efficient Buildings Europe is also the home of the C4E Forum (www.c4eforum.net) which organises a major policy conference every odd year in a country in the CEE Region on energy efficiency in buildings.
