We empower entrepreneurship in frontier markets. As the platform of European Development Financial Institutions (EDFIs) for innovative solutions, we are at the forefront of blended finance, bridging the investment gap for private sector projects. As a key implementing partner of the European Union, EDFI Management Company contributes to the Global Gateway strategy by mobilising private capital in developing and emerging markets. EU Legislative Interests
Interest in all matters in connection with Global Gateway and therefore working closely with the three external action Directorates General: DG INTPA, DG MENADG ENEST plus other internal line DGs. Participation to meetings and forums relating to Global Gateway delivery.
Communication Activities
EDFI Management Company communicates regularly on EU funded blended finance facilities and Global Gateway related activities through its website (www.edfimc.eu), where it maintains an up to date list of supported projects, press releases and in depth articles and case studies. Press releases and media materials are distributed to relevant media and stakeholders at EU and international level. In addition to participating in meetings, working sessions and forums on Global Gateway initiatives, EDFI MC organises an annual “EDFI MC Corporate Day” in Brussels with EU institutions, European DFIs and other partners to discuss investment activities and priorities related to EU development and sustainable finance policies.
