Communication Activities
Edelman acts as the secretariat of the Advancing Cervical CancEr ScreeningS (ACCESS) International Consensus Group on Cervical Cancer, a multi-disciplinary group of leading experts in women’s health — focussing on cervical cancer from clinical, epidemiological, academic, patient, and advocacy perspectives. The ACCESS Consensus Group is committed to improving the health outcomes of under-screened women by increasing cervical cancer screening participation among this underserved population. The Consensus Group aims to provide policymakers with the latest information and direction on cervical cancer screening, as well as share international best practices, so they can make decisions based on real-world programmatic experience and the best evidence available. The goal is to turn the tide and reverse the decline in screening uptake by supporting under-screened women and ensuring they have optimal access to this vital cancer prevention tool. The work of the ACCESS Consensus Group is supported by Hologic. Website: https://accesscg.org/ Recognising the increasingly important role that the EU is playing in supporting Member State health systems, the Partnership for Health System Sustainability and Resilience (PHSSR) has established an EU Expert Advisory Group to make recommendations to the EU institutions on how they can further support the sustainability and resilience of healthcare systems across the region. Edelman acts as the secretariat of the PHSSR EU Expert Advisory Group, a multi-stakeholder group of leading experts in health policy in Europe, including senior policymakers, academics, clinicians, economists, and patient representatives. The PHSSR is a collaboration between the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), the World Economic Forum, AstraZeneca, KPMG, Royal Philips, the Center for Asia-Pacific Resilience & Innovation (CAPRI) and the WHO Foundation, motivated by a shared commitment to strengthen health systems and improve population health. AstraZeneca, KPMG and Royal Philips fund the partnership. About the PHSSR EU Expert Advisory Group: https://www.phssr.org/eu_expertadvisorygroup
