Mission & Goals
Our mission is to advance economic opportunity and financial inclusion, especially for vulnerable communities and minority groups. Our focus is to promote strategies and initiatives to make the European economy more competitive, particularly on the financial front.
EU Legislative Interests
Our policy expertise encompasses the following initiatives: Enhancing EU Competitiveness, including the European Commission's communication on "a New Industrial Strategy for Europe," which aims to bolster the EU's industrial base and global competitiveness. Advancing Innovation Policy, including the European Parliament resolution of 14 December 2023 on increasing innovation, industrial, and technological competitiveness through a favorable environment for start-ups and scale-ups. Strengthening EU-Latin America Relations, which includes the Joint Communication to the European Parliament and the Council titled "New Agenda for Relations between the EU and Latin America and the Caribbean.” This seeks to enhance bi-regional partnerships. Supporting Democracy in Venezuela, which includes the European Parliament resolution of 10 July 2024 on the political situation in Venezuela, focusing on democratic support and human rights. Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Regulations, which include the EU's Anti-Money Laundering Directive (Directive (EU) 2024/1640) and the establishment of the Anti-Money Laundering Authority (AMLA) as per Regulation (EU) 2024/1620.
