Mission & Goals
Ecommerce Europe is the united voice of the European Digital Commerce sector, representing the interests of companies selling goods and services online to consumers in Europe. Our mission is to act at EU level by engaging with policymakers to create a better regulatory framework for all e-merchants. Ecommerce Europe is a platform where our members can stay informed, exchange best practices, and define common positions on EU legislation impacting the sector.
EU Legislative Interests
E-commerce/retail related policies e.g., Digital Single Market / Single Market initiatives, consumer and contract law, data protection and privacy legislation, data legislation in general, competition policy (e.g., VBER), direct/indirect taxation (VAT, digital tax, customs), parcel delivery/postal services, (online) payments, geo-blocking, platform-related legislation (e.g., Digital Services Act, Digital Markets Act, P2B, etc.), product safety, product liability and other product-related legislation, ADR/ODR, Artificial Intelligence, sustainability/green transition, enforcement, Level Playing Field, etc.
