Mission & Goals

Since the launch of the EU’s Eastern Partnership (EaP) in 2009, the EaP Civil Society Forum has become the largest platform for civil society organisations from the EaP countries - Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova, and Ukraine - and the EU. With over 1,100 civil society member organisations, the Forum supports the effective participation of civil society from the EaP and EU countries in the process of planning, monitoring, and implementation of the EaP policy. It maintains a constructive dialogue with EU and EaP decision makers to democratically transform the EaP countries and guarantee their integration into the EU. The Forum engages in policy dialogue as a key stakeholder in the EU’s Eastern Partnership and advances civil society’s ideas to shape democratic reforms. Additionally, the Forum supports civil society organisations by providing funding opportunities and training to strengthen their operational capacities.

EU Legislative Interests

The Secretariat of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum is following the work of the Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET), work related to the European Neighbourhood Policy and to the Eastern Partnership. Furthermore, the Secretariat of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum is also following the activities of Euronest.
