E.ON is an international, privately owned energy company based in Essen, Germany, and has approximately 78.000 employees. With the business areas of energy networks, energy infrastructure solutions and energy sales, we aim to become the partner of choice for the energy transition.
EU Legislative Interests
Issues covered within the European Green Deal, Shaping Europe’s Digital Future and the Clean Industrial Deal. Legislation and initiatives in relation to distribution networks, energy efficiency, renewable energy, heating and cooling, electricity and gas market design including digital services, data & privacy, cyber security, artificial intelligence, eMobility, and consumer affairs, sustainable finance, EU funding instruments.
Communication Activities
Various meetings, events and panel discussions in relation to the work of our organisation and associations. Most notably, in 2025 we presented in Brussels the “E.ON Energy Playbook” a report laying out a decarbonization scenario that can significantly improve the affordability of the energy transition, reinvigorate industrial growth, promote social cohesion and ultimately make net zero a reality. Furthermore, in 2025 we organized a full week of policy events at the “E.ON Energy Playhouse”, a pop-up immersive space designed to showcase real-life solutions for Europe’s energy transition and hold open discussions on scaling electrification, grid expansion, flexibility, industrial decarbonization and digitalization of the energy system.
