Mission & Goals
Our organisation’s mission is to translate high-quality research into competitive products and services. We initiate and manage multi-partner R&D projects, develop prototypes to TRL 6–8, and de-risk technologies through pilot tests with industrial and public stakeholders. We operate an end-to-end valorisation pathway—IP scouting and protection, regulatory and standards alignment, business modelling, investment readiness, and international market access. We support start-ups with mentoring, access to labs and testbeds, and matchmaking through networks such as EEN. Our remit also includes training on entrepreneurship, research methods, and responsible innovation. We uphold robust compliance (data protection, research integrity, health & safety) and commit to green and digital transitions. Impact is measured via TRL/IRL progress, patents and licences, co-authored publications, start-up formation, pilot contracts, export readiness, and social impact indicators.
EU Legislative Interests
Activities conducted within Düzce Technopark—R&D, prototyping, and commercialization—are aligned with the EU’s digital and green transition frameworks, specifically: the AI Act; Data Act and Data Governance Act; GDPR; platform and competition rules under the DSA/DMA; cybersecurity and product resilience via NIS2 and the Cyber Resilience Act. For strategic industry policy and supply security, we target the Net-Zero Industry Act (NZIA), EU Chips Act, and Critical Raw Materials Act (CRMA); for sustainable product design and circularity, the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR); and for corporate sustainability and due diligence, CSRD/CSDDD. Funding, TRL/IRL progression, and piloting are mapped to Horizon Europe (EIC/EIT/Missions), innovation procurement (PCP/PPI), and the EU Standardisation Strategy. IP exploitation follows the Unitary Patent and Unified Patent Court (UPC) pathways. This alignment accelerates compliance, market access, and scale-up for Technopark ventures.
Communication Activities
We will deliver a structured outreach plan to translate the targeted EU policies (AI Act, Data Act/DGA, GDPR, DSA/DMA, NIS2/CRA, NZIA, Chips Act, CRMA, ESPR, CSRD/CSDDD) into actionable guidance for firms in Düzce Technopark. Activities include: quarterly Policy-to-Practice Webinars and Compliance Clinics (hands-on sessions on data/AI governance, cybersecurity, sustainability reporting), Standardisation & Conformity Workshops (ESPR, CE/CRA readiness), and Green & Digital Demo Days showcasing pilots aligned with NZIA/ESPR. We will publish Policy Briefs, Compliance Checklists, and Technology Commercialisation Notes (IP/UPC pathways), and run coordinated stakeholder campaigns (newsletter, website, LinkedIn/X) with GDPR-compliant mailing lists and accessible content (alt text, captions). Messaging will be co-developed with university, EEN-style networks, and relevant clusters to reach SMEs, start-ups, and public buyers.
