Mission & Goals

Duracell is a leading consumer battery company and manufacturer of high-performance alkaline batteries. As part of the Berkshire Hathaway group, over 3,300 people work for Duracell around the world and the global headquarters is located in the USA. Building on a strong presence in Europe and in parts of the African continent, we employ around 900 people in our regional operations, commerce, and other key functions. We operate the European production hub out of Belgium, i.e., the Aarschot production plant and the packaging and distribution centre in Heist-op-den-Berg, both having received the 'Factory of the Future 4.0' Award in 2025. Through our ESG strategy 'Powering a Greener Future', we are committed to driving positive impact for the environment and the communities relevant to our business. Our aim is to be recognised as sustainability leader in the portable battery industry in Europe and Africa, and the primary partner of choice for stakeholders.
