Mission & Goals
The DCU Strategy 2023 - 2028 sees the University continue our mission to transform lives and societies, striving to be a leading and innovative European University distinguished by the quality of the DCU experience, and the impact of our teaching and research on our stakeholders and on issues of global concern.
EU Legislative Interests
DCU strategy is focussed on engaging with the EU by attracting research funding via Horizon Europe. The specific major areas of interest are under Pillar 1(Excellent Science; European Research Council and Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions) and Pillar 2 (Health; Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Society; Civil Security for Society; Digital, Industry and Space; Climate, Energy and Mobility; Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture and Environment). Currently the policies of interest targeted by DCU are related to the following: - European Climate Law - EU AI Act - European General Data Protection Regulation
