MFG is a family-owned group with nearly a century of entrepreneurial tradition, focused on Development, Consulting, and Distribution in the field of renewable energy (RES). We specialize in full-cycle wind farm development—from concept to construction—with over 100 MW of developed capacity. Our work includes close cooperation with local and international partners, positioning MFG as a reliable player in the green energy transition. In addition to project development, we offer expert consulting and distribution of modern energy solutions, including equipment and advanced software for optimizing RES production. MFG combines tradition with innovation, following the highest standards of modern business.

Communication Activities

MFG carries out ongoing communication activities in support of EU energy and climate legislation, particularly in the areas of renewable energy, energy efficiency, and green transition. The company actively follows EU regulatory developments and aligns its own work with key legislative frameworks, using them as a reference for project development, consulting, and stakeholder engagement in Southeast Europe. The company’s owner and director, Borivoje Matić, plays a key role in this communication. He was the only speaker from Serbia at COP29 in Baku, where he delivered three official lectures on: Application of Renewable Energy in Industry Application of Renewable Energy in Agriculture Renewables and Youth Engagement in Green Technologies These talks directly addressed the implementation of sustainable energy practices in line with EU priorities such as the Renewable Energy Directive, the Energy Efficiency Directive, and the objectives of the European Green Deal. The sessions gathered attention from EU officials, NGOs, and international stakeholders. Mr. Matić is also a member of the National Convention on the European Union (NCEU), within the Energy Working Group, which monitors and contributes to Serbia’s alignment with EU energy and climate acquis. Furthermore, he is a member of the non-parliamentary Working Group on Energy of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, where regular dialogue takes place regarding harmonization with EU legislation and the integration of renewable technologies in line with European standards. MFG regularly communicates its positions and activities through multiple channels. This includes participation in public consultations, international energy events, and expert meetings. The company also uses its LinkedIn profile to inform stakeholders about relevant EU policy updates, promote renewable energy solutions, and share best practices. Communication activities also include: Public presentations and panels on EU-aligned renewable energy practices Project updates and studies related to green energy and energy transition Contributions to national policy processes that are shaped by EU directives Expert roundtables focused on accelerating RES project development and addressing permitting, financing, and legal harmonization challenges Stakeholder outreach and awareness campaigns in support of local energy transition projects MFG bases its business strategy on EU regulation models and actively promotes sustainable development in the Western Balkans through project-based cooperation, consulting, and technology distribution. MFG is a member and active participant in the following organizations and bodies: National Convention on the European Union (NCEU) – Member of the Energy Working Group, contributing to discussions on the harmonization of Serbian legislation with the EU acquis in the field of energy and climate. Organisation Members

MFG is a privately held group of companies under the ownership of the Matić family. Within the group structure, MFG owns and manages two affiliated entities that operate in specialized sectors of the renewable energy industry: PadrinoTech – A company focused on the development of innovative IT solutions for the energy sector. PadrinoTech provides advanced digital tools, platforms, and software designed to enhance energy efficiency, optimize grid performance, and support the transition toward smart, data-driven energy systems. WindProject – A special purpose vehicle (SPV) company dedicated to the development of the wind farm project “DUNJA.” WindProject is fully focused on the planning, permitting, and execution of wind power generation infrastructure in Serbia, following EU standards and best practices in the field of sustainable energy. Through these affiliated entities, MFG strengthens its position in the renewable energy value chain, combining innovation, project development, and long-term strategic investment in green technologies.
