Mission & Goals
The General Directorate of Road Transport Services (DPSHTRR) established on July 21, 1999. Its mission is to regulate, monitor, and facilitate road transport services, ensuring safety, efficiency, and transparency in the sector. DPSHTRR oversees vehicle registration, issuance of driving licenses, technical inspections, and the maintenance of a national electronic database for vehicles and drivers. It certifies driving schools and acts as a tax entity within its legal framework. DPSHTRR has embraced digital transformation, offering 60 online services through e-Albania portal, thereby reducing bureaucratic hurdles and improving service delivery. The directorate engages in public awareness campaigns, promotes road safety education, and supports initiatives like the development of the Automoto Park, aligning with international standards to enhance Albania's automotive infrastructure. DPSHTRR aims to modernize road transport services and contribute to the country's sustainable development.
