Mission & Goals
Domen was founded by Irish company Idendity Digital Limited (then Afilias Ltd), American GoDaddy.com and Montenegrin registrar ME-net. The company won RFP for managing the national domain of Montenegro. .ME helps individuals, businesses, and creators make a mark online by offering the .ME domain as a personal and universally appealing web identity. Recognizing that “ME” resonates across many languages and cultures, .ME aims to provide a domain extension that allows people everywhere to express their individuality and build memorable digital presences. We maintain a reliable, secure, and accessible domain ecosystem.
EU Legislative Interests
Directive (EU) 2022/2555 (NIS2 Directive) on measures for a high common level of cybersecurity across the Union, particularly provisions related to DNS service providers, top-level domain registries and domain name registration service providers. EU policies on domain name registration data and DNS security, including implementation aspects related to Article 28 of the NIS2 Directive. EU cybersecurity and digital infrastructure policies, including the EU Cybersecurity Strategy and initiatives aimed at strengthening resilience of critical internet infrastructure. EU initiatives supporting secure and trusted DNS services, including projects such as DNS4EU and broader measures supporting European digital sovereignty. EU Digital Single Market and digital governance initiatives relevant for internet infrastructure operators and alignment of candidate countries with the EU acquis in the digital sector.
