Mission & Goals
The mission of DNG Industrie is to contribute to reliable, affordable and low-carbon electricity access in Sub-Saharan Africa by supporting the development and delivery of renewable energy infrastructure, with a particular focus on small and mid-scale hydropower. DNG operates as an engineering and industrial company providing feasibility studies, technical assistance and EPC contracting services for renewable energy projects. The company works with project developers, investors and public partners to structure technically sound and bankable projects and to support the mobilisation of investment for sustainable energy generation in partner countries.
EU Legislative Interests
- Global Gateway policy framework, including the Global Gateway Early-Stage Investment Mechanism call and related Team Europe investment priorities (energy infrastructure in partner countries). - EU climate and energy policy supporting renewable electricity generation and decarbonisation, including implementation pathways linked to the European Green Deal. - EU external action and development cooperation policies relevant to sustainable infrastructure investment in partner countries (including energy access, sustainable finance, and private sector mobilisation). - EU international partnerships and financing instruments for infrastructure and renewable energy (as applicable to grant/de-risking support for early-stage project development).
Communication Activities
Communication activities are limited to application-related and informational actions, including reviewing and sharing official call information internally, attending public webinars / information sessions related to Global Gateway funding opportunities, and exchanging factual information with relevant stakeholders as part of project development.

DNG Industrie is a member of the following organisations and business networks: – MEDEF (Mouvement des Entreprises de France) – UP40 (Index Up40), a business network of French companies active in Africa coordinated by MEDEF International – Paris Region Business Club, via the “Powered by Paris Region” label awarded by the Paris Region / Choose Paris Region.
Organisation Members
DNG Industrie and Hydroneo Ltd are affiliated entities under common ownership. Both companies are wholly owned by Mr Samuel Zekri. DNG Industrie (France) operates as an engineering and industrial company providing feasibility studies, technical assistance and EPC contracting services for renewable energy infrastructure projects, particularly small and mid-scale hydropower. Hydroneo Ltd (Mauritius) acts as the investment and project development platform for renewable energy projects in Sub-Saharan Africa. The two entities cooperate closely in the development and delivery of hydropower projects, with DNG Industrie contributing engineering, procurement and construction capabilities, and Hydroneo focusing on project development and financing.
