Mission & Goals
DNB offers a full range of financial services to corporations, small and medium sized business, private individuals, institutional investors and public entities. DNB provides retail, commercial and investment banking, as well as asset management, life insurance and pensions products, corporate finance and advisory services. DNB is Norway's largest financial services group, a leading investment bank in the Nordics, and with global presence and a driving role in strong sectors such as maritime and energy. Activities in the EU are linked to promoting healthy and competitive financial markets, sound and harmonised European regulation for financial services and supporting a strong EU-Norway relationship, notably through the EEA Agreement extending the EU/EEA internal market to Norway.
EU Legislative Interests
As a fully spectered financial institution, DNB is heavily impacted by financial services regulations adopted in the EU. These become Norwegian legislation through the EEA Agreement. Our legislative interest is within financial services, including core financial services legislation, the green transition, antitrust, anti-corruption, AML, the EU digital agenda, trade policies, anti-fraud and consumer protection to the extent it has impact on the financial sector.
Communication Activities
Our communications acitivities in the EU are primarily done through public consultations and our memberships in the EBF, ESBG, EFR, IIF, Eurofi and AFME.
