Mission & Goals

The Digital Democracy Foundation (DDF) is a non-profit organisation based in Greece that promotes citizen empowerment, transparency and democratic participation through the use of digital tools, research and education. DDF’s mission is to bridge the gap between citizens, institutions and knowledge by applying participatory methodologies, multi-actor approach, civic technology and policy innovation. Its activities include participatory workshops, research projects, and multi-actor collaborations that connect citizens, local authorities and universities to co-create democratic solutions. The Foundation aligns its work with the goals of the European Democracy Action Plan and the Digital Decade 2030, contributing to European efforts to strengthen trust, inclusion and democratic resilience in the digital era.

Member Of

The Digital Democracy Foundation (DDF) is an independent, non-profit civil society organisation registered in Greece. The Foundation is not a member of any national or European association, network or federation. It cooperates informally with various public, academic and civic partners for the purpose of promoting citizen participation and digital democracy, but these collaborations do not constitute formal membership in any umbrella organisation.

Organisation Members

The members of the Digital Democracy Foundation are natural persons who act as its founding members and voluntary contributors. The organisation has no institutional or legal affiliates. However, it maintains partnerships and memoranda of understanding with academic and civic institutions — including the Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences and Anatolia College — for the development of educational and participatory initiatives in the fields of democracy, transparency and digital transformation. These partnerships are collaborative in nature and do not imply formal membership within the Foundation’s legal structure.
