Mission & Goals
Founded in 1997, Diesis Network is now one of the widest networks specialised in supporting the development of the social economy, social entrepreneurship and social innovation. In view of the high social, economic and ecological stakes, we are deeply convinced that a global commitment from all stakeholders and a collaborative approach is the only response to a global crisis. Therefore, we put great value on our 50+ member organisations in 20+ countries. Functioning as a unique ecosystem, we create and multiply the impact through a close collaboration with our members, who represent over 90 000 organisations and 1.2 million jobs through major national federations and support networks. With a variety of profiles, backgrounds and origins, our team is actively engaged in implementing knowledge-based activities such as training, project design, consultancy and advisory services, technical assistance and research.
EU Legislative Interests
Diesis Network aims at contributing to the growth of social economy in Europe and worldwide. Together with our members, we support the development of social economy, social entrepreneurship and social innovation by sharing knowledge through peer learning, capacity building, cross-sectorial and cross-country exchanges of good practices and research. Through our initiatives we influence national and European policies. To support the EU policies Diesis aims at : - organising or participating in meetings, conferences or events - participating in consultations or hearings - preparing policy papers on social economy related issues
Communication Activities
We make sure we are visible at all major Social Economy events, such as the Strasbourg conference in May 2022 or the Meetings in the Americas in Colombia and the ILO World Congress in October 2022. Through our presence and visibility on Diesis' public channels we ensure that we give visibility to our work and expand our capacity and influence in other parts of the world. The aim of the international presence is to expand the visibility of Diesis worldwide. The target audience of this block is all actors in the Social Economy and interested stakeholders. Visibility is about planning and designing activities for and with the network and constant engagement. One of the key points of Diesis' communication is to engage and activate our network of +50 members.
