Mission & Goals
Im Deutschen Forum für Ethisches Maschinelles Entscheiden e.V. gestalten Expert:innen aus Wirtschaft , Politik und Wissenschaft die ethischen Leitlinien der Zukunft im Umgang mit maschinengestützten Entscheidungen. Im Vordergrund stehen hierbei die Förderung des allgemeinen Bewusstseins sowie die Schaffung von Transparenz und Verständnis für die Fallstricke im Einsatz von Künstlicher Intelligenz. Um den Schutz der Menschen und der Umwelt zu wahren, setzt sich EME durch den geschaffenen institutionellen Rahmen und die Stärkung des Wissenschaft-Praxis-Transfers unmittelbar ein sowie berät hinsichtlich nötiger Regulierungsfragen.

Additional Information
The organization is currently financed solely by its members through membership fees and no further sponsors or external funding exist. Against this backdrop the organization is recognized as a charitable organization by the German tax authorities. The activities covered by the Register, which we aim to partake in, do not require extensive funding as they are conducted mostly remotely (e.g. "Call for expression of interest to participate in the drawing-up of the first general-purpose AI Code of Practice" or similar activities).Mostly expenses are borne by the members/volunteers themselves, as they are engaging voluntarily in our organization.
