Mission & Goals
The DKWU (Deutsche Kartuschen Wiederaufbereitungs-Unternehmen) network is an informal and voluntary association of companies in Germany that have been remanufacturing or repairing printer cartridges with a high quality standard for many years. For this purpose, the DKWU remanufacturing companies reuse the components of the OEMs and repair or replace only those parts that are worn out or defective. The spare parts used are perfectly matched to each other and to the toner or ink suitable for the application, which are usually tested for harmful substances. DKWU wants to promote the preparation for re-use of office imaging equipment (IE) and their cartridges and educate government bodies as well as companies on obstacles for the preparation for re-use imposed by the IE OEMs.
