Mission & Goals
The German Entertainment Technology Association – VPLT represents the interests of the players in the field of media and event technology, shapes the future of this creative industry and thereby establishes valuable networks with representatives of the media, politics, culture and educational institutions. The interests of the members are always the focus. The daily intensive exchange with the members is made possible through the office based in Hanover. Since September 2024, the VPLT is also based in Brussels to keep closer contact and hold discussions with the European institutions. Sustainability & social responsibility Since 2014, the association has operated according to the guiding principle: The VPLT is pioneering in the areas of education, labour and social policy, economic and sustainable industrial policy and event safety for a future-oriented industry. The VPLT is a trade organization, that represents employers and employees, as well as free-lancers in the industry.
EU Legislative Interests
All standards and legislation in regard to the media and event technology industry as well as legislative proposals in the field of product compliance rules, sustainability policy, labour market policy, educational policy and economic policy, digital policy (in particular digital networks and frequency management). EcoDesign: Member of the European Entertainment Lighting Ecodesign Coalition.
