Mission & Goals
DeepMark is a deep-tech company building AI watermarking and provenance technologies to help platforms, creators, and public bodies verify the origin of digital content and deter abuse. Our remit is research, development, and responsible deployment of robust, privacy-preserving identifiers and detectors for AI-generated or manipulated audio (video next), plus open benchmarking and guidance for safe use. We engage EU institutions to support evidence-based standards and implementation (e.g., AI Act transparency duties, C2PA-style provenance), contribute to codes of practice and working groups, and share technical data to improve interoperability, user safety, and enforcement. We provide SDK/API tools and compliance materials (model cards, DPIA templates), operate EU-resident processing where required, and uphold GDPR, security-by-design, and human oversight. We do not conduct political advocacy; our interest is technical expertise in the service of trustworthy media.
EU Legislative Interests
The EU AI Act, specifically its transparency obligations for AI-generated or manipulated content and the emerging marking (watermarking) and provenance requirements for synthetic data. We follow and contribute to related implementation guidance, codes of practice, and harmonized standards that operationalize content marking/provenance across EU markets.
