Mission & Goals

Decathlon SE is a family-owned company, founded in 1976 in France, and aims to sustainably make the pleasure and benefits of sports accessible to the many. Decathlon is a manufacturer and retailer of sporting goods, present in 24 EU Member States and the largest bicycle manufacturer in the EU – one out of four bikes manufactured in the EU is manufactured by Decathlon. Decathlon presently operates in 79 countries with 1800 stores. At Decathlon, our 101,000 teammates place innovation and sustainability at the heart of their activities, from research to retail, including (eco)-conception, design, production and logistics. Our Sport Brands teams channel all their energy into developing technical, good-looking, inclusive and durable products, always at the most accessible prices. These products are aimed at all sports enthusiasts, from beginners to experts. In 2024, Decathlon's total revenue amounted to EUR 16.2 billion, excluding taxes.

The activities related to EU decision-making are performed by the Global Public Affairs team.
