Mission & Goals

Debunk.org is a leading disinformation analysis centre and independent technology think tank whose primary focus is to research disinformation in the public space and execute educational media literacy campaigns. Main goal of Debunk.org’ work is to make society more resilient to disinformation and promote its trust in democracy.

EU Legislative Interests

Digital Services Act is a main legislative piece that Debunk.org work is connected to. Our Foreign Information Manipulation and Interference and disinformation analysis reports provide policy recommendations on the topics of enforcement of platform obligations, risk assessment and mitigation, transparency of online advertising, access to platform data for researchers, and the role and resourcing of national Digital Services Coordinators. European Democracy Action Plan is relevant in terms of safeguarding electoral integrity, countering disinformation, strengthening cooperation between authorities and civil society, and improving the resilience of democratic processes. Debunk.org is also engage in the Code of Practice on Disinformation. Engagement targets platform responsibilities regarding demonetisation of harmful actors, mitigation of coordinated manipulation, transparency of advertising systems, and accountability for systemic risks.

Communication Activities

Debunk.org representatives participate in the public events with the representatives of EU institutions. The latest events: 2025-12-02 Event "Meet the Future of AI: Support for the European Democracy Shield: policy, practice and partnerships", alongside DG-CNECT representatives, Brussels 2025-10-09 Panel discussion with Michael McGrath, at Geopolitics and Security Studies Center, Vilnius Debunk.org publishes reports on Debunk.org webpage www.debunk.org Reports present in depth disinformation and foreign information and manipulation campaigns analysis.
