Mission & Goals
Het doel van De Blauwe Cluster is om via samenwerking tussen haar leden onderling en met andere relevante stakeholders de groei en de concurrentiepositie van de blauwe economie te versterken via onder meer innovatie en internationalisering. De blauwe economie (gebaseerd op de definitie van de Europese Commissie) en het domein van de Blauwe Cluster omvat: “Alle duurzame, innovatieve, opkomende en economische activiteiten gerelateerd aan de oceanen, zeeën, kusten, estuaria en rivieren. Dit betreft een breed spectrum van onderling verbonden gevestigde en opkomende sectoren.” De blauwe cluster streeft ernaar economische ontwikkeling in evenwicht te brengen met ecologische duurzaamheid en sociale gelijkheid.

Additional Information
We have very limited costs related to the above mentioned activities. As we are member of VLEVA, this organisation follows the relevant European regulations for us. We work on policy recommendations for ocean related activities within European projects, but this is only a small portion of the activities.
