Mission & Goals
Dataminr is a company providing real-time event, risk and threat detection from publicly available information. Its products support organisations in identifying emerging physical, cyber and operational risks, helping them make faster, better-informed decisions. Dataminr serves public sector, corporate and security-focused customers globally, including in Europe.
EU Legislative Interests
EU AI Act implementation and related guidance; the Law Enforcement Directive (LED) and related EU data protection rules relevant to lawful use of publicly available information; the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; EU cybersecurity and resilience policy, including NIS2-related implementation and critical infrastructure resilience; and broader EU policy discussions relevant to public safety, crisis response, trusted AI, and digital resilience.
Communication Activities
Dataminr’s communication activities in relation to the above EU policies have primarily consisted of the sharing of company background materials, product information, briefings, and explanatory discussions concerning the use of real-time alerting from publicly available information for public safety, cybersecurity, crisis response, and resilience. To date, Dataminr has not carried out standalone public campaigns specifically dedicated to these EU policy files. Relevant activity has mainly involved stakeholder briefings and informational exchanges with EU institutional stakeholders in order to better understand policy developments and explain the operational context of Dataminr’s technology.
