Mission & Goals

Data for Good is a community of tech workers and citizens advocating for a technological landscape rooted in the common good. We aim at being a counter-power to the unchecked rise of tech corporate interest shaping our digital infrastructure and ecosystem for their private benefit. We advocate for data transparency and work hand-in-hand with researchers to study the impact of tech. We co-create databases, digital tools and mobilization platforms to empower civil society. We fight for fair, frugal and open-source tech rooted in real needs and data privacy. We are holding big tech accountable for their environmental, social and democratic impact. We believe that another tech is possible and that real innovation is not commensurate with a bottom-line but with its ability to enable conviviality on a living earth.
