Additional Information
How do we work At the beginning of each Parliament’s mandate LUFPIG members appoint a Chair and Vice-Chairs (Steering Committee). The Chair in consultation with the Steering Committee decides on the relevant topics to be discussed every year. To organise its meetings, enlarge the membership and work on specific needs of the group the Steering Committee is supported by an external Coordinator to facilitate achieving its objectives. LUFPIG complies with all the rules foreseen for unofficial groupings at the Rules of Procedure (rule 35) from the European Parliament. Third parties’ involvement Third parties that share the Vision and Mission of LUFPIG may participate in meetings upon invitation. Third parties financially support the organisation of LUFPIG meetings and the financial contribution depends on the type of third parties: • Industry and trade organisations • Think tanks, NGOs, research institutes and others Any third party participating to LUFPIG exchanges must be registered in the EU Transparency Register. Registration shall be verified annually by the Steering Committee on the base of information supplied by the external Coordinator. We are monitoring the current developments at the EP and will take all the necessary actions to always comply with what will be further required.
