Mission & Goals

Dansk Autogenbrug, the Danish Association of Car Dismantlers, was established in 1963 with the following goals: 1) To strengthen the public image of the trade 2) To represent the political interests of the trade among decision makers 3) To follow and convey information about new legislation and technical development in and around the trade 4) Supervising that members observe the level of quality and service as a condition for upholding membership

Directives and regulation within the automotive sector, waste, electronics and batteries, including 1) ELV Directive (2000/53/EC) 2) Waste Directive (2008/98/EC) 3) Battery Directive (2006/66/EC) 4) WEEE Directive (2012/19/EU) 5) Regulation on Circular Production of Vehicles and End-of-Life Treatment

Communication Activities

DAG is a member of EGARA, a European association founded 1991 with the mission to represent the interests of the national associations of European car dismantlers. DAG takes on to participate actively in hearing and consulting phases prior to reviews, amendments and revision of EU legislation.
