Mission & Goals
DFA is a national dairy marketing cooperative based in the United States that serves and is owned by 9,500 dairy farmers on nearly 5,000 farms. Reflective of the U.S. dairy industry, our farmer-owners are diverse, located in nearly every state and on every type of operation. Our core business is to market our members' milk, pay a competitive price, deliver value to our members and provide leadership in the dairy industry. As a vertically integrated cooperative, we are also a dairy foods processor with investments in plants and well-known brands that bring additional return to our members. We are the nation’s most diverse manufacturer of dairy products, with 82 processing facilities across 33 states and supported by nearly 19,000 employees.
EU Legislative Interests
More generally, we monitor EU domestic policies and international trade policies impacting agriculture in general, and the dairy sector more specifically, across the supply chain from farm to consumer to customer. This could include domestic agriculture policy, trade policy, policies impacting climate, sustainability, workforce issues and food and nutrition issues.
