Mission & Goals
Cyprus Ports Authority (CPA) is a public entity governed by a nine-member board appointed by the Council of Ministers. The board oversees the implementation of the policy directives issued by the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works. CPA is responsible for the development, management and operation of Cyprus ports. Its jurisdiction extends over all port areas of Cyprus, covering ownership and regulation of the major port installations of the island i.e the multipurpose ports of Limassol and Larnaka, Zygi industrial port and the specialised oil terminals at Larnaka, Dhekelia, Vasiliko and Moni. CPA also is the National Lighthouse Authority of Cyprus. CPA provides commercial services, such as development of port land, berthing of vessels, port reception facilities, provides public functions, such as port security, health and safety and environment protection in all CPA’s port installations and act as the Regulator for the port services offered in all port installations.
