Mission & Goals
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry is a private, non-profit organization established in 1927 to represent and support businesses in Cyprus. It serves as an association of traders and manufacturers, dedicated to protecting and promoting the country's commerce and industry, while also fulfilling specific responsibilities provided by law under a framework introduced in 1968. The CCCI is the federation of the local Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CCIs) which operate in Nicosia, Limassol, Famagusta, Larnaca and Paphos. CCCI unites 170+ Business Associations across all major sectors, manufacturing, trade, services, and Bilateral Business Associations (Country-to-Country). Each association focuses on specialized issues within its sector, addresses and promotes common matters, provides valuable insights and data to CCCI decision-making bodies, and helps formulate positions on government policies relevant to their fields.
EU Legislative Interests
Τhe CCCI actively monitors, engages with, and provides input on the following key EU legislative areas: 1. Digital Legislation 2. Internal Market & Regulatory Proportionality 3. Green Transition & Sustainability Legislation 4. Competitiveness, Industrial Strategy 5. Trade Policy & External Market Access 6. Employment & labour-market policy (including Labour mobility & recognition) 7. Skills, Vocational Education & Training (VET), Lifelong learning Although more horizontal, the CCCI monitors EU conditionality mechanisms and Rule‑of‑law cycle
Communication Activities
1. Participation in European Commission's consultations and focus groups 2. Policy briefings prepared for meetings with EU officials 3. European network channels and representational platforms such as representation via Eurochambres and EEN 4. Information outreach and compliance support aligned with EU files such as organisation of seminars, dissemination of EU material

The CCCI is a member of: the Eurochambers which are the Association of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the European Union member – states and the countries associated with the EU through special agreements. the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) the European Association of Craft, Small and Medium – Sized Enterprises (UEAPME) the Eurocommerce the Assembly of the Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ASCAME) the Association of Balkan Chambers (ABC) the World Association for Small and Medium Enterprises (WASME) the European Trade Promotion Organisation (ETPO) the GS1, former International Article Numbering Association (EAN International) In its capacity as member of the Employers’ Delegation, the CCCI participates in the sessions of the International Conference of the International Labour Organisation (ILO).
