Mission & Goals

CurrENT’s purpose is to advocate on behalf of Innovative Grid Technology companies, and ensure representation of our members’ interests and involvement on European regulatory topics. Our members are taking Europe’s power network to the next level – developing and supplying innovative technologies that optimise and maximise use of the existing electricity grid, and develop new grids as efficiently as possible. These next-generation solutions advance the transition toward a decentralised, distributed and active power network: the future for Europe’s electricity industry.

EU Legislative Interests

Implementation of TEN-E Regulation (EU) No 347/2013 EU Action Plan for Grids Clean Industrial Deal, including the Clean Energy Investment Strategy and the Electrification Action Plan Green Deal Industrial Plan, including the Net Zero Industry Act and Critical Raw Materials Act SET Plan

Communication Activities

CurrENT attends policy events, e.g. Energy Infrastructure Forum, Florence Forum, EUSEW, PCI Energy Days. CurrENT posts its featured publications and positions on the website (https://www.currenteurope.eu/policy/) and on social media (LinkedIn, Twitter). CurrENT hosts webinars and in-person events on topics related to the above EU policies.
