Mission & Goals
Cultural Vistas gGmbH, based in Berlin, is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering international understanding, cultural tolerance, and global cooperation. Its mission is realized through international exchange programs, intercultural seminars, language courses, and scholarships. The organization promotes lifelong connections across cultures and collaborates with institutions and governments in Germany, Europe, the U.S., and beyond. All activities support educational and cultural development, with a commitment to non-profit principles and public benefit. The organization fulfills its mission through the following purposes covered by the German § 52 Abs. 2 Abgabenordnung: Nr. 13, Nr. 7 and Nr. 5.
EU Legislative Interests
Our organization seeks to support EU policies through our exchange programs in fulfillment of our organizational mission. As a non-profit organization that receives EU project funding, we seek to ensure our program implementation remains aligned with EU policies and priorities. We currently advance the European Commission's priority of support for Ukraine’s cultural and creative sectors under the Creative Europe program (see https://culture.ec.europa.eu/european-support-to-ukraines-cultural-and-creative-sectors).
Communication Activities
We intend to occasionally meet with EU institutions that fund projects that our organization implements, for example the Directorate General of Education, Youth, Sport and Culture of the European Commission in its capacity as administrator of the Creative Europe program.
