Mission & Goals

CSR Europe is the leading European business network for Corporate Sustainability and Responsibility. With our corporate members, National Partner Organisations (NPOs), and Associated Partners we unite, inspire and support over 10,000 enterprises at local, European and global level. We support businesses and industry sectors in their transformation and collaboration towards practical solutions and sustainable growth. We are for systemic change. Following the SDGs, we want to co-build with the European leaders and stakeholders an overarching strategy for a Sustainable Europe 2030.

EU Legislative Interests

Building upon our strong engagement in the EU Multistakeholder Platform on SDGs, we continue to co-build with European policymakers a Sustainable Europe 2030. CSR Europe is also engaged in a dialogue with the European Commission on the following policies: 1. The European Pact for Skills 2. The Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive 3. The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive 4. The European Sustainability Reporting Standards 5. Forced Labour Regulation 6. Deforestation-free products regulation 7. Critical Raw Materials Act 8. Omnibus Simplification Package 9. Clean Industrial Deal.

Communication Activities

Through EU insights, Communities of Practice, Collaborative Platforms, CSR Europe's website and Newsletter as well as through the European Summit on SDGs, we encourage our members to enhance their EU Intelligence on EU policies. Additionally, in 2024 CSR Europe launched the CSO Network, which serves as a platform to foster collaboration between Chief Sustainability Officers and key stakeholders in the European institutions. This aligns with the political guidelines published on July 18, 2024, by President Von der Leyen for the new European Commission with the ultimate goal of making sustainability policies more workable for companies.
