Mission & Goals
At CSL Seqirus we are driven by just one goal - to lessen the severity and impact of influenza, which can reach epidemic or even pandemic proportions with life-threatening consequences. Every year our influenza vaccines help protect millions of people. We find solutions to big, complex, challenging problems, and we see the results in the world around us. Then we do it all over again the following year. CSL Seqirus is one of the largest influenza vaccine companies. We were created when our parent company, CSL Limited, acquired the Novartis influenza vaccine business and combined it with vaccine subsidiary, BioCSL.

Communication Activities
As members of the trade association Vaccines Europe: (1) we have supported the Steering Group on Influenza Vaccination's (now renamed Steering Group on Prevention of Respiratory Infections) annual EU Flu Day campaign in 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025. (2) we have contributed to the development of Vaccines Europe's policy position on the Critical Medicines Act which was shared with relevant MEPs in 2025 (3) we have contributed to the development of Vaccines Europe's position on annual vaccine effectiveness studies to be discussed between Vaccines Europe and EMA (work in progress) In relation to the Critical Medicines Act, we also shared our views bilaterally with relevant MEPs in 2025. In 2025 we contributed financial and in-kind support for a multistakeholder policy event on immunization and healthy ageing that was hosted at the European Parliament in Brussels by MEP Vytenis Andriukaitis and MEP Andras Kulja. In 2025 we provided financial support for British Chamber of Commerce | EU multistakeholder events and publications dedicated to Pandemic Preparedness, especially in relation to the role of DG HERA and Member States, and EU Economic Security and Competitiveness. As in previous years, CSL Seqirus also made grants to the European Scientific Working group on Influenza (ESWI) to support influenza scientific exchange and education and young scientist awards.
