Mission & Goals
CSC - IT Center for Science Ltd. is a non-profit company, owned by the state of Finland (70%) and Finnish higher education institutions (30%). CSC, as part of the national research system, builds digital solutions for data management, scientific computing, and education that help researchers, learners, and companies understand the world. CSC supports society’s digitalization and, on our part, promote the green transition with our customers, owners, and partners. CSC has offices in Helsinki region and a data centre in Kajaani, Northern Finland. CSC’s vision 2030 is: Together we build world-class environments for research, learning and innovation. CSC's strategic targets are: 1) We provide the most impact-generating HPC and data ecosystem in the world, 2) We are a pacesetter for responsible adoption of artificial intelligence, and 3) We bridge silos to enhance customer success.
