EU Legislative Interests

While the activities do not concentrate primarily on engaging with EU representatives, EU policies may be covered by some of the consulting services. The main areas of activities which touch the EU competences relate to digital, Internal Market, environmental, transport sectors and EU enlargement. So currently any activities, policy initiatives, legislation in preparation etc. in these sectors may be looked into. Currently namely these are implementation of Digital Services Act, Digital Markets Act, Digital Governance Act, Ecodesign, legislation on batteries, climate and environmental issues in general, EU enlargement and Cybersecurity. Likewise the positive development of Green Deal is of interest. These activities were related to the interests of Apple and the Government of Moldova.

Communication Activities

Limited communication with several MEPs, advisors and diplomats on implementation of Digital Markets Act, Digital Services Act and Ecodesign, legislation on batteries, enlargement related agenda, as well as cyber security issues. No campaigns, events or publications, the scope of activities covers rather consulting on strategic aspects than contacts with political entities in the EU or officials. The beneficiaries of these services were Apple and the Government of Moldova.

Member Of

My company is not a member of any and I have seized also my activities as Vice Chairman of Czech association Digital Economy Network, with which Crossroads Consulting no longer has a contract. Subject to the advice of the Secretariat I hereby state that I am a former Member of the EP (2014-2019) and Vice President of the institution (2016-2019). I served as a Member of the Transport Committee and substitute Member of ITRE, for 2,5 years I have been 2nd Vice Chair of the ALDE Group. None of my current activities are related to any of the files I have been responsible for in the EP. My cooling-off period lasted significantly longer than the required 6 months.

Additional Information

As not being entirely clear about all questions we would just like to add that while direct activities towards EU institutions under the contract with Apple are under 25%, the time related to the EU affairs in direct cooperation (bilateral communication) is higher. As of May 2024 the contract with Strategy Plus has expired and Strategy Plus therefore is no longer a client.
