Mission & Goals
The Cross Border Data Forum (CBDF) is a non-profit think tank focused on movement of data across international borders. CBDF has a number of fellows, most of whom also have academic appointments, that speak at conferences and other events and write on these issues. Publications by fellows and other authors in the area and the mission of the CBDF can be found at crossborderdataforum.org. All statements on publications appearing on the CBDF website or statements by fellows are the views of the authors only, and not of the CBDF or any of its members.

CBDF fellows regularly participate in conferences, including CPDP and IAPP in Brussels. CBDF fellows have participated on panels and in other events with Commission and other EU officials, generally in connection with the focus of CBDF’s research activities – the rules applying to government access to data held in the private sector, especially for law enforcement and intelligence purposes.
