Mission & Goals
The Croatian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (CVCA) aims to facilitate the creation of a conducive environment for private equity and venture capital (PE/VC) investments in Croatia and the broader region. In addition, CVCA seeks to encourage the development and promotion of an investment culture that supports entrepreneurship and innovation Besides being active in Croatia, CVCA actively promotes the development of the private equity and venture capital industry across South East Europe (SEE) and Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), recognising the importance of a strong regional market for sustainable economic growth. CVCA is the central meeting place for all members of the private equity and venture capital industry in Croatia, and through its activities, strives to bring together all private equity and venture capital funds with headquarters or representative offices in Croatia and the region. CVCA regular members manage capital above 4.5 billion euros.

Revision of the European Venture Capital Funds Regulation (EuVECA); Review and Implementation of Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD II); Institutional Investors’ Ability to Invest in Alternative Investment Funds - including Institutions for Occupational Retirement Provision Directive (IORP II) and Savings and Investments Union; “EU Inc.” / 28th Regime Proposal; Capital Markets Deepening Measures under the Capital Markets Union; ESG & Sustainable Finance Developments; EU-Level Public Investment & Scale-Up Instruments and other EU legislative proposals affecting private equity and venture capital industry.

We do not expect to incur any costs by registering in the transparency registar. Reason to register is we have been asked to contribute to EU legislative devleopment as the professional trade association. We are not engaged in lobbying activities. We will not be spending resources to travel and meet with EU institution representatives.
